- The total contract value is approximately 640 million euros ($819 million), with Alstom’s share being around EUR410 million. The contract is effective immediately and will be booked in the second quarter of the 2012/13 financial year.
- The 880 Mega Watt power plant will be built under an Engineering, Procurement and Construction contract.
- Alstom has been awarded a long-term service agreement valid for 16 years to maintain this equipment once it enters commercial operation.
- Scheduled for completion in 2016, the power station will have the capacity to provide enough power for around a million homes.
